Although I don't fancy "butt shots"
if determination
was the word of the day, these two ladies won the spelling bee.
and i believe this photo captures just that

Her first time surfing California waves- "not sure about this wetsuit thing"

This is Chris.

Where are we? You might wonder. Others may be able to name it after a quick double take.
Solely from these 11 or so photos we could be anywhere, I could take this series to canada and I bet no one could name the spot. It looks like a destination far beyond the coasts of central america, if you cant see for yourself, look at his face - pure joy. Not only his favorite spot, but as we jokingly call it the secret spot, this place is a quick get-a-way from our everyday crowded spots and most of the time polluted waters.
Even if you laugh looking at this, because that house in the background is yours. . .
Ones secret spot is always going to be another ones home.
So please . . . just let us enjoy it.

^^^
With such clear waters, how could I resist. The waves were on the smaller end that day and I gotta find something to shoot during a 10 minute lull.

underwater magic.
If you see this image blown up big, you can see the reflection of the outside world in every single air pocket

This just may be the cutest freakin photo you've ever seen.
San Clemente Surf School is Chris's business where anyone and everyone can learn to surf.
And this is his rediculously adorable 2 year old son, rocking dads hat.

Wedding Season is Upon Us

Ahhh, weddings. To tell you the truth, I had never been interested in shooting weddings... until now.
My mom used to coordinate them and from the stories I heard, the thought of capturing a moment "they'll remember forever" within a four hour time limit at 15 second intervals, running here, rushing there- was not one that I particularly fancied.
But as I grow older, the air of love seems to be surrounding me wherever I go, and the more I learn it and feel it, the more I want to capture it.
This past weekend I was lucky enough to assist and shadow a good friend of mine- an amazing photographer by the name of Elise Capener. Her photos exude a level of intimacy and comfort that only a pro could achieve.
I was able to bring out my camera for the reception and take a few shots (the photo kind) and
out of 447 photos, I did my best to choose a few favorites to share with you . . . enjoy!
