Setting them Free

This place is cold
but more than bearable
a sound so familiar brings me back each time
it lingers through the air, leaving me in a more than pleased state
calming, welcoming, leaving me to wonder what beautiful events can be born from these continuous collaborations
The room is silent, but just for moments at a time
we sit and hear the wind as our minds skip off to their own far off places
the music begins again
i look around and i see the product of their lyrics strewn across the walls
i feel the presence of their past musical relations all around me
Here, I am invited through the doors of freedom

Written about a place called Ranch O.K.
The home to one of my best friends and many great friends i've made,
It is one that has housed many and is covered with imprints and memories of each.

Amping...

So just
recently got back from Hawaii, was out there for a month. Got spoiled with good waves and met a lot of great people, as your supposed to, right?
I guess traveling just gets me super amped for what is in the future.
How one simple thought can manifest into such a great and beautiful experience that brings forth so many insane opportunities, just boggles my mind.
Ill be leaving again in a few weeks... to where?
You'll just have to wait and see...
be expecting some sick stuff to come.

Simone The Surf Photographer"

Yesterday...
My friend DJ texted me around 7a.m. letting me know his shaper had decided to use my photo for his new website...
Although i've had some work published before in local newspapers and such, nothing compared to this.
Hopefully one day in my life ill get to see my photos displayed in Surfing or Surfer Mag, but for now this will definitely do and ill never forget how stoked I felt seeing my photo posted up online... like christmas morning or a surfer catching their first wave... its one you'll never forget, even when your a Pro getting paid 6+ figs a year with a beach front house at Pipe, you'll never forget that first time you stood up and rode straight into shore.

The Start of Something New...

Here it goes, the start of something new...
My love for photography and surf has blended together tastefully (I believe) like peanut butter and jelly, like salt and pepper, or Sonny and Cher... (during their good years of course).
I strive to one day make a profession out of this wondrous combo, but for now i'll learn as I go.
Feel free to take a peek, there will always be more to come...
